About Husika

In collaboration with the Open Society Initiative for Eastern Africa (OSIEA), Emerging Leaders Foundation (ELF) is running the Husika (Swahili for ‘get involved’) program; a structured, informed and coordinated project aimed at building an online movement for social accountability in five select counties in Kenya: Kakamega, Mombasa, Makueni, Nairobi and Nakuru.

The project involves empowered high potential young people in the five counties who act as accelerators together with an existing network of 300 ELF Alumni Community in forming an online movement for purposes of social accountability by duty bearers in counties and doing advocacy on issues of importance to young people.
