We envision good governance as the responsible conduct of public affairs, ensuring prudent management of resources and inclusive institutions. ELF-Africa’s Governance and Civic Engagement program empowers young individuals with the knowledge, skills, and networks to influence governance and policy, promoting democratic governance, integrity, and equality for sustainable development in Africa.
Young women and men interested in influencing governance and policy processes at various levels, including national, county, public, and private sectors, are eligible to participate.
The program is centered on five key interventions: Tunaweza, Husika, Good Politician, YDoS, and Sera Talks, each focusing on different aspects of governance and civic engagement to promote democratic governance, integrity, and equality.
The objectives include promoting effective devolution and inclusive service delivery, ensuring democratic governance with just elections and accountability, fostering integrity and ethical leadership, and advocating for equality and non-discrimination.
Interested participants can get involved by reaching out to ELF-Africa through our website or social media channels to learn more about the application process and upcoming skilling workshops in their respective counties.
