Marvin Gakunyi
Marvin Gakunyi runs a project called Mobile Journalism Africa geared to change how narratives are told in Kenya – in faith that it is not always what bleeds that should lead. He is a trained journalist and has a team of 11 freelance journalists who make the project a success and some of whom he studied with in the university together. The project has seen them travel to Ghana courtesy of DW to train young journalists across Africa among many other things. He is a firm believer of the saying that ‘if it has to be, it is upto me’. He is passionate about journalism, the youth, politics and democracy and digital media.
