Andrew Ranja
Andrew Ranja has been an advocate of the High Court of Kenya since 2004. He is the lead partner of Ranja & Company Advocates which is a growing firm established in 2007. The firm specializes in Commercial law, Real Estate, Intellectual Property and the development of small and medium sized enterprises in East Africa.
Prior to the establishment of the firm Andrew Ranja worked with Robson Harris & Company Advocates for 3 years where he was the Senior Associate responsible for Conveyancing (Real Estate) transactions. Andrew Ranja is a Board Member of the ZanaAfrica Group, The Ecotact Trust, African Colours Limited and the AIESEC – Nazarene University Chapter.
Some of the areas of practice he has been involved in are; Legal Due diligence review of the legal framework for the Energy Sector in South Sudan; Establishment and legal framework of Kenya Commercial Bank and UAP insurance is South Sudan; Trainer and Advisor for entrepreneurs and SMEs at various entrepreneur training programmes; General advisory on protection of Intellectual property, registration of trademark and contractual protection of proprietary information; Advisory on the re-organisation of the management company for the Magnolia Heights housing scheme; Generation and registration of various collateral instruments including debentures, charges, mortgages and chattels mortgages for Kenya Commercial Bank; Generation and registration of various collateral instruments including debentures, charges, mortgages and chattels mortgages for Savings and Loan Limited; Sale and transfer of residential units in Nyayo Estate Embakasi and Hazina Estate, South B on behalf of the National Social Security Fund; Sale and transfer of residential units in Madaraka Estate for the National Housing Corporation; and Generation and registration of commercial property leases for View park towers, Hazina Towers, Nakumatt Crossroads, and various KCB properties.
